Toby (SH 07-12) and Poppy (B 12-17) are both running the London Marathon.
A brother and sister who are profoundly deaf, running for the National Deaf Children’s society in the 2023 London Marathon. Toby and Poppy were born deaf and implanted with cochlear implants at an early age. Children born profoundly deaf like Toby and Poppy undoubtedly face enormous challenges not only in communication skills but also the ability to socially interact with their peers.
